CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS
When I start out planning a new structure, I design the buildings with as many different elevations and separate additions that I can to make them functional and pleasing to the eye.
All museum quality structures are built exactly as any full size buildings. The foundation stone is laid-up one at a time and mortared in. The walls are constructed of precision milled scale basswood lumber. The windows and doors are by Grandtline with roofing materials by Builders-in-Scale. The many castings used are supplied by Evergreen Hill Designs, Turner Model Works, Berkshire Valley, Clover House, Model Tech Studios and The Russian River Railroad Company.
The majority of my buildings are modeled in the 30's and 40's era and I build them to look as old as possible. I go to great lengths to construct these buildings crooked and out of square. The porches and loading docks are always sagging and leaning and the main building walls are out of plum as much as one-quarter of an inch.
The paint, weathering and signage are installed as per client request. Timeless Structures also specializes in custom building in unusual locations such as steep hillsides and/or canyons, etc.
All structures are built on three-sixteenth board for easy installation on your layout. The buildings are then shipped in padded double boxed containers that are sized for each building.
I am not building prototype structures, but creating my own designs and the ideas of the client. This way I can make everyone's dreams come to life in a small way. As new buildings are finished, the photos will be added to the website.
Some of these structures are also available in kit form on my other website (cedarhilldesigns.com). When you click on to the individual building pages, you will see which ones fall into that catagory.

THE DESIGNER
My name is Carl Cornish. After many years as a carpenter, with extensive experience in trim work and designing and building prop/sets for trade shows plus having built two commerical model railroad layouts, I have desided to design and build structures in "O" scale. These structures will be custom built from my own drawings or from the specifications of the client.
I hope you enjoy the website photos of my designs and will be inspired to add one of these structures to your layout in the near future.
