O'SHANSKY'S
After many years of successful business, O'Shansky's Machinery has fallen on hard times. When the local mills closed most of their business was lost. As you can see, the new owners are in the process of fixing up the old place with high hopes for a new future. This building idea came from a structure located in upstate New York.
O'Shansky's is one of those structures that will look at home on any layout, regardless of the era or terrain that you are modeling.
This structure can either be located on a rail siding or on a corner lot to be serviced by truck traffic.

THE WOOD SHOP
Almost every city or town, at some time, had a wood shop to build and repair their furniture. These earlier businesses were usually passed down from generation to generation. In the process many repairs were needed as the years went on. As you can see, the present owner is adding a new addition onto the old shop and has installed some new equipment.
The raw wood material, for this shop, arrives by rail or by truck. It is then unloaded on one side of the building and after the construction of the furniture is completed the new product is shipped out on the opposite side of the building.
I have the kit version on my other web site at ( www.cedarhilldesigns.com ).
